Description
The logo that sits on the wall outside our new shop and studio in Newport Market is our adaptation, or ‘remix’, of the Ox sculpture that currently sits in Friars Walk in Newport city centre ‘The Bell carrier’.
.
The sculpture, by Sebastein Boysen, is an adaptation of the legend of St Gwynllw, in which the saint is told to build a church where he encountered a white Ox. The bell is a symbol of the act of faith for Boysen, and the Ox is of a breed that existed in Wales around 2000 years ago.
.
Our remix of ‘The Bell Carrier’ changes details of the ox statue to represent what we do as a music centric design studio. It’s available now on a limited edition tee, in black and amber.
