So where do you start when someone asks you to encapsulate 25 years of your favourite labels history into a limited edition box set? The answer is at the beginning. We were commissioned to put together this monster box set which features a 60 page coffee table book on the labels history, triple CD, five piece vinyl, keyring, poster, USB pen and slipmatts. This multi-format project is quite simply a designers dream, and something we were very proud to be a part of. From interviewing the label bosses Andy C and Scott Bourne about the history of the label, scouring hard drives for old images and artwork to pouring paint over and setting fire to a massive steel Ram logo for the vinyl art, this project creatively ticked all the boxes. The album itself was 17 of the labels classic releases remixed for 2017, and while we took a fully historical approach to the creation of the project it was important that the album had a modern and iconic look and feel. The Ram Horns make up the sleeve, a simple and effective approach, which were used as the main icon throughout a lengthy online motion graphics campaign, teasing up to and after the release of the album.
