Trap Magazine
Life is a vibration- About Project
- Trap Magazine was formed in the autumn of 2010 from a mutual friends love for bass-music and the culture that surrounds it. Drum & Bass, reggae, dubstep and everything inbetween were the foundations on which the magazine was built, informing its readers with expert reviews on music, fashion and club nights. The magazine ran for 5 years and featured some of the cream of the UK underground bass-music scene on the cover. From High Contrast to Jackmaster and more recognisable acts such as Chase & Status and Rudimental, Trap was the go-to publication for considered and unbaised journalism. The magazine was quarterly and completed its run at 22 issues. We were responsible for the creative direction and design of the magazine from the very beginning. As the music evolved throughout the time it was active so did the design and look and feel of the magazine. Our aim was to keep the balance between everything in the magazine having its own space to breathe while making it easy to read, but at the same time keeping the design, layout and typography on point.
