The Years & Years debut album artwork focusses on the 'Y' from the bands logo infused into a multi-coloured geometric maze, taking on the appearance of a modern day stain glass window design linking it back to the album title 'Communion'. The simplistic nature of this mechanic lent itself well to reworks for singles and EP covers throughout what became a lengthy campaign. It was also used as the backdrop of their extensive album and festival tour where the geometric lines and Y were brought to life by the pulsing light of thousands of carefully assembled LED lights. A simple yet instantly recognisable composition, the cover was nominated for the Vinyl Art 'Cover of 2016' Award. The Communion project also saw us team up with renowned projection photography specialist Mads Perch for a series of images of the band with the cover image and derivatives of it projected over the band for the booklet and press use. The campaign saw the design of a CD, Deluxe CD, double gatefold 12" vinyl and a super deluxe 7" box set which contained a lyric book, 7" Picture disc, Pin Badge and exclusive CD. The outdoor advertising lasted many months and was accompanied with a major press and online advertising campaign.
