Our first foray into the world of festivals came in the form of El Dorado festival. A new up and coming festival in the Hertfordshire countryside, El Dorado contacted us to rebrand and creatively direct their second UK event. The Cirque Du Soul events are very heavily themed and packed with energy so we wanted to convey that through the festival creative while still keeping the branding different enough to the main CDS brand. The concept behind El Dorado is the lost city. From this we drew influence from mayan masks, jungle landscapes and forest animals and created a treated photographic border theme to use throughout marketing communication. We felt that a combination of photography from the previous event could be intertwined with images that worked with the theme using the same treatment. Whether it a poster or a piece of online content the border remained changing various aspects to keep the creative fresh and exciting. We also rebranded the Festival with the reworking of their logo to fit with our concepts.
